Mission Santa Cruz Photograph of a Postcard (2017, 6.5”x8.5”)
The postcard photographed by Harold Taylor depicts an early version of the mission which was built in 1795. The church was rebuilt in ornate Gothic style in 1889 after the 1857 earthquake. Not even the bells survived this devastating earthquake. In 1931 a small replica of the mission was built.
